Are 18-24-year-olds leaving (or considering) leaving Calgary? This question was tough to answer at first. With a number of social, political, economic, and environmental factors to consider, my team and I were put in a unique position in this project.

However, after careful consideration of a variety of internal and external factors impacting this demographic, we determined that 18-24-year-olds are in fact leaving Calgary at a more accelerated rate than ever before. So, how did we look to solve this issue? Well, I won’t just tell you. But here is a hint…The Action Plan.

In this project, I played a critical role in the Cause & Effect, Citizen’s Journey, High School Strategy, and overall report design. Working alongside my team, we aimed to provide Calgary Economic Development with a cohesive narrative and overarching strategy that could be actionable in 1-3 years — and beyond.
