‘Movie Theatres’ as we know them are not what they once were. But just because streaming has more-or-less taken over as the dominant medium for movie viewing doesn’t mean theatres can’t capture that same kind of magic they once did.

Canyon Meadows Cinemas (CMC) is a second-run movie theatre in Calgary, Alberta. As much as I love CMC’s $5 movie deals, I always thought their brand could use a facelift. Thus, I decided to rebrand CMC in a way that evoked that same sort of ‘magic’ movie theatres once held, all while creating an identity for CMC that can be both relevant and eye-catching for years to come.
